We are grateful for your efforts and thank you for sharing your creative works and beautifully grown entries.
Distancing due to coronavirus has been isolating and difficult. With so much time spent at home, apart from friends and family, the garden and escaping to the outdoors has been a blessing. During such crazy and emotionally worrying times it has made me feel peacefully grounded.

This spring with thoughts of the show on my mind I often brought my camera to the garden. It was lovely to pause, take the focus off weeds and watering and concentrate on natures wonders. Capturing trees in full bloom, flowers at their perfect stage of maturity and finding the treasures that magically and unexpectedly happen. A pleasing happenstance in my vegetable garden was a row of last seasons leeks, that I left to grow, had sprouted the most incredible flowers with casings covering the huge globular blooms resembling tiny elf hats. Now leeks in the veggie patch will be grown for their flowers before food.

It took some time to put the photos on display for viewing but it’s well worth the wait. The submitted photos are wonderful. I respect everyone’s efforts and worry with my limited computer skills I may have made an error in the process of putting this together so there will be a grace period before judging begins to edit any errors or omissions.
JUDGING IS OPEN TO ALL GARDEN CLUB MEMBERS.
WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION IN DETERMINING WINNERS FOR THE SHOW

This is a small and unofficial floral show and due to its limited size, we will not be subdividing the divisions of HORTICULTURE, FLORAL DESIGN and FLORAL PHOTOGRAPHY further into classes. All submissions in each division will be grouped as one.

Refer to your OJES for judging criteria.

Each division will be awarded a first, second, third prize and two honorable mentions.

Use the number given on each photo to vote your choices. Once club members have completed the judging process and submitted their choices, I will tally up the votes and determine the winners. Then I will resend photos with names so you can see how creative your friends at GCH have been.
VOTING STARTS MONDAY JULY 20
Please remit your vote by email to – albinihl@gmail.com
Or text / call in your vote to 289-683-3040
